Castings are produced by a silica sand mold which is employing a sodium silicate binder system. This inorganic mold produces a rigid, strong and dimensionally accurate impression of the pattern. The mold and pattern are registered by both steel pins and sand locks to ensure proper alignment of the top to bottom mold halves. After the castings have solidified, a series of metal removal operations yield a near - net shape casting.

Larger molds have been produced using a flaskless method and dedicated flasks can be designed, quoted and manufactured.
