Founded in 1950, Specialty Aluminum Inc. has grown from a small foundry casting many sizes of brass, bronze and aluminum parts to a business focused on producing relatively large aluminum castings. SAI typically casts parts with volume exceeding five cubic feet.

    Our business evolution has sharpened skills needed to propel SAI into a leadership position in the production of complex castings made to exacting specifications and tolerances.

    The quality of our casting begins with the review of our customers’ requirements and specifications. Design reviews are employed to insure that our casting methods are consistent with customers’ requirements. After careful consideration has been given to all aspects of the design, SAI enlists the services of prominent patternmakers to execute the production of the tooling. If the tool proves to be in accordance with the control documents, the cast part is released for production. Our goal is to assure that each casting meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.

    Our increase in capacity and staff allows us to be competitive in the aluminum casting industry. Our commitment to quality allows us to continually serve our customers with a superior product and the technical support required for today's complicated casting designs.

    SAI is proud of its experienced team of molders, metal handlers, core-makers and finishers. Our molders have an average of over 15 years experience in this critical facet of the foundry. Likewise, the metal handlers have similar experience melting and pouring several grades of prime aluminum.
